While the assets, e.g. TXT files, are uploaded and tracked in Mercury in the Asset Library, you have to configure them once as an ad in the AdSlot, at least when you use them for the first time.

Even if you do not need a TXT file, a Link Ad must be created once and connected to the AdSchedule via the AdSlot. 

As part of the configuration, the Link Ad is linked with the information relevant for the AdServer, such as the Ad Name and the Target URL, etc.

  1. To do this, open the AdSlot of a click tracker in an AdSchedule for which you want to create a new Link Ad.

  2. Click on the "Create Link Ad" button in the "Ad Library" section.

  3. The following contents must be entered:
    1. Ad Name

    2. Creative Name (only for GCM)

    3. File (optional): Selection of the TXT asset from the Asset Library.

    4. Target URL: URL with which the click tracker is to be populated.

    5. Checkboxes:
      1. Click tracking:
        If the click tracker is to measure clicks, click the checkbox.

      2. Impression tracking:
        If the click tracker should also measure impressions, tick the checkbox (AI+Clicks Tracking).
