When you create an AdSchedule, Mercury automatically assigns an AdSlot to it. This is still empty at the beginning and must first be configured before the AdSchedule can be activated and thus transferred to the AdServer as a briefing.

Optionally, the AdSlot can be deleted and exchanged for a click tracker. Furthermore, you can add more AdSlots and/or Click Trackers as required.

The configuration of AdSlots and click trackers takes place in the calendar on the sidebar with the name "AdSlot configuration" on the right-hand side. It opens automatically when you click on an AdSlot or Click-Tracker. The content to be configured is largely the same between AdSlot or Click-Tracker, the differences are highlighted below.

Tip: You can recognise an unconfigured AdSlot and Click-Tracker by the red button with the info symbol on the left-hand side. Via mouseover, Mercury also shows you the information that it is not sufficiently configured.
As soon as you have configured an AdSlot or Click-Tracker sufficiently, the colour of the button changes from red to green.

Configure AdSlot or Click-Tracker:

  1. Click on the AdSlot or Click-Tracker you want to configure. A sidebar will open on the right-hand side.

  2. General settings
If you configure an AdSlot, you can optionally set a different runtime for it, limited only by the runtime of the AdSchedule.
Click trackers are always bound to the runtime of the AdSchedule, it cannot be adjusted.

  3. Ad Library
If Ads or Link Ads have already been created, you can now add one or more Ads to the AdSlot/Click-Tracker by clicking on the plus button to add them. Or by clicking on the minus button to deselect ads that have been added too much. If you do not yet want to add any Ads or if you want to add more Ads, you can do this by clicking on the "Create Ad" button. In the case of Click-Trackers, by clicking on "Link Ad".

  4. Now create as many Ads as you like. Your AdSlot is now fully configured.
