Inventory Labels are a flexible, central tool to individually classify and filter your data in Inventory Management. They can be applied to Inventory Items, Proposal Templates, Proposals, and Buy Items.

Prerequisite

To create and manage Labels, you need the global right Inventory Management (Labels Manager) or Inventory Management (Admin).

Creating Labels

1. Create Label Class

  1. Navigate to the Labels menu in Inventory Management.
  2. In the first step, you must create a Label Class. To do this, click the Add Label button in the top right.
  3. Give the Label an informative Name (e.g., "Buying Type" or "Consultant").
  4. Optionally, enter the following:
    1. a description (only visible in the Label menu),
    2. assign a color
  5. Define whether only a single value (e.g., Value A or Value B) or multiple values simultaneously (e.g., Value A and Value B) are allowed for this Label Class.
  6. Click Save to make the Label centrally available for the entire Inventory Management(independent of Company or Pool).
Note: Label Classes appear in Inventory Management as separate columns. The name of the class corresponds to the column name.

2. Create Label Value(s)

  1. Find the Label Class for which you want to create a Label Value and click the adjacent Plus Icon.
  2. A small window opens where you next enter the Name of the Label Value.
  3. Optionally enter a description (only visible in the Label menu)
  4. Click Saveto save the Label Value in the Label Class. From this moment, this Label Value is available for selection under this Label Class in Inventory Management.
Note: You can apply Label Values directly in the inventory tables via double-click – only in the column of the respective associated Label Class.

Managing and Deleting Labels (Softdelete)

The management of Labels is done using the Softdelete logic:

  • Delete: Click the Trash Can Symbol next to the Label in the table. The Label is deactivated and hidden from the active list.
  • Restore: To display and reuse deleted Labels, activate the toggle Show Deleted Labels and click the two circular arrows symbol next to the respective Label.

Once created, Labels can be adjusted at any time via the corresponding editing functions (gear symbol) in the Labels menu.
