The so-called Non-Changeable Parameters are a central control instrument that you set when creating an Inventory Item in Inventory Management. Their relevance is not related to the Inventory Item itself, but to the resulting Buy Item (Einkaufszeile).

Function and Effect of the Parameters

These parameters determine which metrics in the Buy Item must not be edited after generation. They thus serve to ensure data integrity and compliance with buying conditions.

Where are they set?

When creating an Inventory Item in the Inventory Line Form, in the Basic Data section.

What do they control?

They control the editability of the Buy Item, which is automatically created as a copy of the Inventory Item in the Proposal.

Examples of controllable metrics:
  • Booking Volume
  • Targeting Description
  • Gross Price
  • Discounts (e.g., Rate and Special Discounts)

The Consequence: Control of the Buy Item

If you determine on the Inventory Item that, for example, the Gross Price or Discounts is a non-changeable parameter, the Inventory Manager who later views the Buy Line cannot change these.

Important: If you do not activate parameters (checkbox not set), the user is allowed to freely edit the corresponding metrics in the later Buy Item.
