When you try to import an existing campaign into a project but it doesn't appear in the search, it is due to the prerequisites that Mercury checks for the import. The search results are displayed based on two criteria that must be met:

  • Category: Only campaigns located in the same category as the current project are displayed.
  • Runtime: Only campaigns whose runtimes match the runtimes of the parent objectives are displayed.

How the Import Prerequisites Work

Within the Projects module, when you want to import an existing campaign under an Objective, Mercury automatically checks if these prerequisites are met. This ensures that you only see campaigns that:

  • Belong to the same category: For example, if your project is assigned to the "Social Media" category, the search will only show you campaigns that are also assigned to the "Social Media" category. If the campaign is in a different category, you must first move it to the project's category to be able to import it.
  • Have a matching runtime: The start and end dates of the campaign must be within the runtime of the parent objective. For example, if your objective has a runtime from 01/01/2025 to 03/31/2025, you cannot import a campaign that runs until 04/30/2025.
Important Note: These prerequisites are designed to prevent errors and keep the project structure logical. It is not possible to import campaigns that do not meet these criteria. If a campaign is not found, check its category and runtime and adjust them if necessary to enable the import.
