Creative types are often named differently by various publishers (e.g., "Medium Rectangle" vs. "Content Ad"). To ensure consistency, you can create creative types. They help you classify creatives uniformly, which simplifies communication and statistical analysis.

Properties of Creative Types

  • Name: The unique name of the type, preferably following established standards (e.g., IAB).
  • Format: Here you can define fixed dimensions (width x height). These will then be automatically available during planning. If you leave the field empty, the format can be set individually for each creative.
  • External ID (Source): This field indicates where the data originates. For types you create yourself, it remains empty. For data from external sources (e.g., Mediaservice Wasmuth), this is filled automatically.

How to Find Creative Type Management

  1. Open the main menu (☰) in the top right.
  2. Click on the "Reference Data" menu item.
  3. In the navigation on the left, select "Creative types".

How to Create a New Creative Type

  1. In the overview, click the "+ Creative type" button in the top right.
  2. Fill in the fields: Name and Channel Type are required. Optionally, you can also set minimum and maximum format dimensions.
  3. Click "Save".

How to Edit and Deactivate Creative Types

  • Edit: To edit a type, simply double-click the corresponding cell in the table and enter the new value.
  • Deactivate (Soft-Delete): When you click the trash can icon, an creative type is not permanently deleted but only deactivated. This means it remains in all existing plan items where it is already used but can no longer be selected for new planning.

Important Note: Changes to existing creative types also affect creatives that are already in use. Types originating from external data sources cannot be edited or deleted.
