Mercury distinguishes between two types of scenarios:

The standard scenario

When creating a campaign, a standard scenario is automatically created. If you do not need different planning variants, you do not have to create any additional scenarios.

The main scenario

Once it has been agreed with the client which scenario will be implemented, this scenario must be marked in order to distinguish it from other scenarios.

For this, at least one plan line within the scenario must be externally approved. This means that the client has given approval to book the plan line and the planning can be implemented.

The name of the scenario to be implemented is displayed in bold in the list of scenarios.

As soon as a scenario with externally approved plan lines exists, all other scenarios in the campaign are locked for external approval and therefore for booking.
