When certain metrics of an inventory offer are adjusted in the media plan — provided the necessary editing rights are granted — the Inventory Manager in the Inventory Management module receives a notification about a deviation as soon as the line item reaches the status Booking Requested. This indicates that the campaign planner has made a change that affects the original offer.
The Inventory Manager can then decide whether to accept or reject these adjustments.
The following metrics trigger a notification in Inventory Management if they are changed in the media plan — that is, when there is a deviation between the offer in Inventory Management and the line item in the media plan:
- Publisher
- Media owner
- Placement
- Placement detail
- Ad format
- Frequency capping
- Audience description
- Flight dates
- Forecast: Gross price
- Offered volume
- Available volume
- Guaranteed volume
- Forecast: Volume
- Discounts
Keep in mind that all these changes require feedback to Inventory Management. This ensures that media planning always remains aligned with the offer details.
In short: Any deviation from the original offer scope regarding price, volume, targeting, or placement will be flagged to enable quick alignment.
