To calculate technical costs early on and transfer them to the campaign planning, you assign the centrally created Technical Components to a Proposal or a Buy Item. The process is identical in both menus and for both item types.
Prerequisites
The assignment can only take place if the following points are met:
- The desired Technical Component was centrally created and saved in the Technical Components menu for the respective Company.
- In the Proposals or Buy Items menu, you have made the Technical Components or Technical Costs column visible in the list view.
Assignment via the Column
The assignment is done directly via the list view in the respective menu:
- Navigate to the Proposals or Buy Items menu.
- Find the desired Proposal or Buy Item in the list.
- Double-click the cell in the Technical Components or Technical Costs column in the row of the respective item.
- The Inspector panel opens from the right.
- Select the required Technical Component(s) in this Inspector, wait for Mercury to save the components, and then close the window.
Result and Transfer
After the assignment, the components are active and are included in the calculation:
- The planned costs of the selected components are immediately visible in the rows of the Proposal/Buy Item (e.g., in the Technical Costs columns).
- When you release the Proposal to the campaign, it is automatically transferred to the Plan Line of the campaign, including all assigned Technical Components and the associated costs.
