The Buy Items (Einkaufszeilen) represent the internal Buying Side of your inventory planning. You find them in the Buy Items menu as well as in the details of the Proposals.
Purpose and Function of Buy Items
Buy Items are essential for internal media planning and tracking of buying costs:
- Basis: The Buy Item is always a copy of the Inventory Item that served as the foundation for the Proposal.
- Data Level: It serves to map all buying-relevant information (e.g., purchase prices, discounts).
- Detail Completion: Only in the Buy Item are all briefing-relevant, specific information (e.g., target group, flight dates, targeting) added, which may have been missing in the underlying Inventory Item, to finalize the plan line.
- Ratio to the Proposal: An Proposal can also have multiple Buy Items manually added (e.g., to form a non-transparent package).
The Special Buy Items View
The Buy Items menu functions as your internal Buying Media Plan. This view is similar in its functionality to a campaign in Mercury, as it offers you specific metrics and actions for buying control.
