The three global rights for Inventory Management determine which tasks and control functions a user may take on within the module. They range from simple editing rights to full administrative control over Pools and technical components.
Differences Between Global Rights
The following overview explains the functions associated with each global right:
- Inventory Management (User)
- Purpose: For all "normal" users who work with content.
- Permissions: Creation and editing of Inventories and Proposals within the Pools they are enabled for.
- Inventory Management (Admin)
- Purpose: For managers who set up and manage the structure of the module.
- Permissions:
- All rights of the Inventory Management (User).
- Full Pool control (create new Pools, add/remove users from Pools, set non-changeable Attributes on the Pool, assign Pools to a Company).
- Setup and management of technical components within the module.
- Setup and management of Labels (equivalent to the Inventory Management (Labels Manager) right).
- Inventory Management (Labels Manager)
- Purpose: For users who only manage Labels but do not require full Admin rights.
- Permissions: Setup and management of Labels within the module.
Combinability of Rights
Note that a user who wants to use Pools (User or Admin) must always have the right Inventory Management (User) or Inventory Management (Admin). The right Inventory Management (Labels Manager) can be additionally assigned to a User or Admin, or used standalone if the person only needs to manage Labels but does not work with Proposals.
