Inventory Management is an extension in Mercury that allows you to manage your internal processes for purchasing media and sales proposals. In contrast to the Campaign module, which focuses on planning for external (agency) clients, Inventory Management serves as the internal proposal planning tool within your company.

When is Inventory Management useful?

It's especially useful when one department (or company) wants to provide a proposal to another department (or company) or to a client. With Inventory Management, you create a structured way to prepare proposals internally and externally before they finally end up in a campaign.

What are the benefits of Inventory Management?

The module allows for the creation of not only transparent proposals, where costs and content are passed on openly, but also for working with margins.

  • Transparent proposals with a margin: You can sell a purchased item to the client with a markup (margin). The client only sees the sales conditions you set, while you also keep an eye on the purchasing side in Inventory Management.
  • Non-transparent proposals: You can create a single sales proposal for a campaign that is internally based on any number of purchased items. This allows you to present a consolidated offer to the client while the underlying purchasing conditions remain hidden.
