The function View Management within the Inventory Management module allows you to save list views (Views). These Views are currently visible to all users who have access to the corresponding Pools and Company.
Views can be created for the Inventory Management areas Inventory, Proposal Templates, Proposals, or Buy Items.
Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a New View
- Click the Settings Icon (gear symbol) above the table in the top right, which is available in each of the Inventory Management areas mentioned above (e.g., in the list of Inventories or Proposals). This opens the View Manager.
- The View Managermodule will open.
- On the right side, you see the currently selected columns for the list.
- On the left side, you'll find a list of available columns to add.
- To add a column, you can:
- Scroll through the list of available columns.
- Use the 'Search Columns' field to type the name of the desired column.
- Click on a field on the left to add it to the current view (right box).
- To adjust the order of the selected metrics:
- Use Drag-and-drop to change the position.
- Alternatively, use the arrows on the right side of the column.
- To remove a column from the selection, click the 'x' icon. The column is moved back to the left panel.
- Click the 'View Changes' button to immediately display the new column selection in the list.
- To save the View, click the Save button (floppy disk icon), which is located to the right of the Settings Icon (gear).
- Now choose whether you want to create a new View or update an existing one:
- Click 'Save as New View' to create a new View.
- Click 'Save Changes' to overwrite the currently selected View.
- If you selected 'Save as New View', enter a name in the 'Name' field.
- Finally, click Save.
Note on the Default View
The View you last selected will be displayed by default when you close and reopen Mercury.
