Each Inventory Package consists of one or more Inventory Items and includes various information such as volume, prices, discounts, targetings, etc. There might be content in these offers that should not be changed after proposing and transferring them into a campaign plan by the planner. Instead, any change requests must be reported to the inventory manager and can be optionally updated by them on the existing or a new offer.
In essence, unmodifiable attributes can be set within the Inventory Items and can be changed if needed.
Furthermore, the Inventory Pool management provides the option to globally set these settings as defaults for all items (including existing ones) within a pool. The settings made there cannot be overridden without inventory admin rights.
How do I set unmodifiable attributes in an existing pool?
- Navigate to the inventory management and click on the "Pools" tab.
- An overview showing all created Inventory Pools will appear.
- Find the pool for which you want to adjust the unmodifiable attributes and click on the "clipboard with pencil" icon in the "Actions" column.
- A popup window will appear where you can adjust the pool name and set the unmodifiable attributes as follows:
- Example for Media Metrics - Activated Checkbox for "Volume Booked":
- All Inventory Items created in this pool will receive the same configuration that cannot be changed.
- Within the campaign planning, planners cannot change the "booked volume" metric. Adjustments can only be made by the inventory manager on the Inventory Item.
- Example for Sync Metrics - Activated Checkbox for "Cost Updates":
- All Inventory Items created in this pool will receive the same configuration that cannot be changed.
- Within the campaign, the cost sync, which is set to "off" by default, cannot be modified. Adjustments are also not possible through the inventory manager on the Inventory Item.
- Example for Media Metrics - Activated Checkbox for "Volume Booked":
- After making your settings, click on Save.
- Your Inventory Pool is now configured according to your settings. If there are existing Inventory Items in your pool, the applied unmodifiable attributes will now be set for them as well.
