To create a connection in the data pipelines in Mercury to another system, Mercury must be given access to it when creating the connection.

For this purpose, a forwarding to the system being connected takes place when the connection is set up. You or in case of forwarding to a third person, this person will be asked to log in. The credentials used in this process will be used by Mercury to log in to the system.

For this to work properly, it is necessary to use an account with full write permissions.

Tip!

We recommend creating your own account for this purpose, which is not bound to a person, but is used generally for the API connection with Mercury. Person-bound accesses have the disadvantage that they are deactivated, for example, with the leaving of a person. With the result that also the API connection can no longer be used.
