To connect a new data pipeline, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the Data Pipelines menu and open the "Connections" submenu.

  2. Click on the "Add Connection" button in the upper right corner.

  3. In the pop-up window that opens, select the data source you want to connect and then click "Next" to configure the connection.

  4. Add a new connection by giving it a name.
    Then ...

    • you can either click on "Submit" directly
Mercury will redirect you to the selected system. Log in there with the credentials you want Data Pipeline to use to retrieve the data

    • or if you want someone else to do the login, delegate the authorization of the pipeline to someone else by clicking the checkbox below.
In this case, please enter the e-mail address of the person who is to perform the authorization. Furthermore, you can optionally enter a text that will be sent to the person as a note.

  5. After your connection has been created, you will return to the "Connections" submenu. The connection you just created is now displayed as a new tile.

Optionally, you can edit it again via the clipboard icon or delete it via the trash icon.

Note:
To create a connection in Mercury, we recommend using a separate API user to create the connection, rather than accessing it through a personal account.
